Finding beauty in unexpected places
HELLO, AND WELCOME!
Based in Manchester, UK, I make expressive mixed media paintings on canvas, paper, wood, and sometimes more unusual surfaces such as old book covers.
I’m inspired by wild landscapes (I’m currently working on a series of paintings inspired by photographs I’ve taken from train windows), weathered surfaces, and beauty in unexpected places.
My art usually has many layers. I love the idea of a painting having a ‘history’, and secrets beneath the surface.
My work is owned in the UK and overseas, and has been shown in several galleries, most recently by Highgate Contemporary, Cupola Gallery, and Bury Art Gallery.
